He was a member of the Louisiana Law Review, a reputable legal journal, during his time in law school. Mike has served the Kinder area since 1996, practicing in various areas of the legal field. He continues to represent and counsel dozens of local businesses, health care providers, municipalities and land owners in the Southwest Louisiana area. Mike has served on the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1996 and is an active member in the Kinder Chamber of Commerce as well as many other local and legal organizations.

Attorney Kevin Fontenot

Kevin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in History. Kevin attended law school at Louisiana State University where he was awarded CALI awards for highest grade in his class in Contracts and Legal Research and Writing, and he was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association in 2006.

For the first fifteen years of his practice, Kevin worked as a litigation and trial attorney in Lake Charles law firms. Through his litigation practice, Kevin gained experience assisting every type of client from individuals to small businesses to large industrial companies with resolving legal disputes both in and out of the courtroom.

In 2020, Kevin joined Hebert, Holmes & Fontenot where, in addition to his continued litigation practice, he assists clients with estate planning, successions, and real estate transactions. Kevin believes that his personal background, growing up in a farming family in rural Evangeline Parish, allows him to bring a commonsense approach to the practice of law, providing his clients with friendly yet passionate representation in every case.
